Party Was A Success / My Cold garden Shed

I had a very good turn out for my girls party even though the wind was blowing 40 miles per hour the day started out nice then rain then high wind then frigged cold wind then snow then I gave out.

After everyone left I made 3 dozen peanut butter reindeer cookies for a cookies exchange I am attending   after church. Needless to say I was so tired I couldn't hardly get to my favorite chair . Sissy was very tired also my party interrupted her naps.

It is so fun to see everyone and catch up on what's going on. One friend drove down from Troy Missouri. We worked together once and I hadn't seen her for 4 years. I just sent her an invitation because I was thinking about her never dreaming she could make it. She is a fairly newlywed and her sweet husband drove her down.

                                           My creations

Not my creations these came from a local grocery

Here is the cutest large cookie My friend Jo made it and brought it to the party. It is a huge snowman  sugar cookie . I have it  on one of my large silver platters if that tells you the size of the snowman

One of my guest  Liz brought me these little wine glass coasters also a bottle of wine. They are made out of Christmas material so cute. Gail brought me a  snowmen dish towels and pot holder set. Sue brought me a pedicure set with slippers included. Very nice hostess gifts. Robin brought me a tin of chocolate peanut butter balls.
Jo and I always exchange Christmas gifts so after my other guests had left we exchanged our special gifts to each other.

Someone pointed out to me that I had the wrong setting on my camera that is why this picture is so yellow darn it

I bet I remember to check my setting on the camera from now on.
Here is a cocktail napkin for my cranberry punch, I was told it suited me very well    Thank You Sherry

Cranberry punch after the ice ring melted really was good I used cranberry juice and ginger ale added the ice ring and wall laaaaaaaaaaaaa

In reverse order after and before shots of the punch bowl

As I as setting here writing this it is really snowing and blowing. Under the security light outside of my office window I am watching the snow blow and it looks like silver glitter blowing under the light I just love snow.

Well for lack of better pictures guess this is it for this lovely night

The wind blew hard all evening and this morning I looked out my kitchen window and seen my little garden shed so decided to take it's picture. Now this is through my dirty kitchen window.

Also I want to add that I have the best neighbors really, I just looked out my front windows to see the blowing snow and there was a person all wrapped up shoveling my front drive and he did my front steps also. Thanks a lot Lee. Last year the high school boy across the street kept my drive clean. Like I said I have great neighbors all around me.

White Tree has changed her skirt

I finally decided how to decorate my white tree with what I already had . Once I was going to put white dollies on it but didn't have enough crochet ones to really make it look good.Once I thought I would just put rhinestones pins all on it and then thought that would look better on a small tree.

I decided to do red and a little different instead of putting my garland around the tree I put it diagonally

I thought the tree looked good in my red room my office

I am still looking for a few items to add to it also I have changed the shirt several times I have  red tulle under it now   can't decide if I like the white lace tablecloth or the red tulle. I know I like my red and white cups on it.
Now I need to get to cleaning like a mad woman to get things ready for Saturday 's party. Tonight when I get home from a diner party I am making some dips and some spreads I am trying out this year. I am making cranberry punch with frozen ice cubes with a cranberry in each ice cube then a ring in the middle of the punch bowl with cranberries in it.
I also need to get my table set and find all my candles I want to use .
Oh wait just a minute I still don't have my tree up in my bathroom I left  it decorated all year so that won't be much trouble.  I put one in my bathroom last year for the first time . Then on my guest bed I put a little  shinny village  .

Joy      the owner of a very savvy blog  said put a plaid skirt under my tree so I tried it here is the latest picture. This was the largest plaid thing I have. It's a longaberger tablecloth that I got in a box of other items I wanted  at an auction

Trees Trees and more Trees Love it

I have 2 more little silver trees and just had to put them someplace in my studio to show. I really have plenty to put on them. I want to decorate a tree with paper cards and old Christmas post cards so I am also working on that of course right now I am resting tired of going up and down the steps

I have this little sled full of old post cards and they bring me  much pleasure every year looking at them

This little tree is on top of a table in my east window I painted this table silver and it turned out wonderful. A friend bought those tables advertised on Ethan Allen  commercial the little  silver 5 legged table. I haven't seen them yet but I know they are out of this world gorgeous.

The blue showing through is wine bottles I have setting in my window

I have cookie cutters and old kitchen utensils on this wire tree and I leave it up all year
 in my studio

I just love this gold tree with my gold slippers on it I have it in my kitchen area on top of my chippy shabby white cabinet

One more thing I am working on is my Welcome sign for my front door. Remember when I was showing my purchases from my Savannah trip? well I stopped in a shop in Paducah Kentucky and bought this cardboard lady. I altered her shirt and made it A chalkboard. What I have written on it is not what I want but I was practicing  on what to say besides Welcome.

See her shirt was  a pink now it's chalkboard I also put an old velvet collor on her
I am putting all red ornaments on this tree I've decided

I also went to a small town in Missouri named Boonville Mo and went on a home tour. A friend of mine had her house featured  on the tour and I was pleasantly surprised how beautiful the little town was decorated. I found a small bakery in town and had a cupcake and cup of coffee after the tour.
I did not take any pictures of Sherry's house however the local newspaper did an article on her house if you type in Sherry Broyles home tour it comes up on the Internet.
I only took a picture of one house I always feel embarrassed to ask if I can take pictures.

This house was huge the 25 year old young man who owned it had 30 trees in the house. The wreath on his front door had skates in the middle .

Birds In My Tree Also Rhinestones

I just love moving all my decoratins around from room ro room trying to figure out where I really want them.. I keep thinking of another way to place something I need to set them down and leave then alone. This is my angel song book, made out of an old church hymnal. My sister gave it to me one year for my birthday

I can see clearly now, found my vintage glasses. Not sure what they call these maybe just girly magnifying glasses.

OF course I bought them because they have rhinestones on them

I have this ribbon and rhinestone pin on my  lamp shade in my living room and it's been there all year

Grandma's reindeer, I think there is a funny song about Grandma and a reindeer? These are  Hallmark and she used them every Christmas so I am also
I have this little sparkle tree and had some ceramic birds I bought last year after Christmas on a 90% off sale  so thought might as well use them . Not sure really what to do with them so put them on this little tree until I think of another use for them.

I put some of my old shoe clips and rhinestone pins on this sweet little soft white fluffy tree I got it at Target after Christmas sale last year. I also took it outside to get a better picture sometimes inside my picture just don't show up a pretty as the article really is. That is where the professional photographers had much better pictures on their blogs.

I bought this beautiful Gold ball and rhinestone  pin at the flea market in October  for $2.00!!!!I couldn't believe it when this girl said $2.00 home it came with me.
The green rhinestone pin has one set missing and I gave a quarter for it.
The big rhinestone shoe clips was in a bag with others at a estate sale and I think I gave $12.00 for the bag of about 7 sets

OK now I need to get back inside and get things straighten up and put away. I still have my big white tree to decorate and the idea as what to do with it hasn't hit me yet. I thought about using my old shinny brite ornaments
 or?????????don't know yet
