There is 12 place settings plus all the extra, gravy boat, cream sugar, serving bowls, platters, dessert dishes on and on.
Any way one of the sisters in my family said she would take them. Said she needed dishes that matches , because when she has company they use odd and ends of dishes. So I said please come by tomorrow and get them.
They are pretty but I have my blue and white set of staffordshire blue calico and then I have a set by Portmeirion the pattern is Strawberry fair. They say dishwasher, microwave, and freezer safe. Which we all want. However if I find another beautiful old set that I love and has to be hand washed they will come home with me.
There was so many I couldn't get them all on my table at once this is the overflow.Did I say place setting for 12.
Can you see wire lady in her prom dress in the background? She wanted to see what I was doing with all those dishes.
Here is my toile (twall) clock in my kitchen. At one time I had valances up to match and table cloth also. I still have all that just in a drawer at this time.
Here is that bowl I was taking about on my post about the tea tiles I think I said I had an old bowl from my great aunt's , this is it. This great Aunt never had children but she always had an old dog from what she called the dog pound. Those old dogs lived the life of Riley at her and Uncle John's house.
Here is a few pieces of an old canister I bought piece by piece and have always really liked it. It looks good with my Poetmeirion dishes.
We all need a cookie jar
Not long ago all the Tuesday Morning's had these dishes on clearance they were below half price of what they originally sold for.
Here is some old shoe clips I got at an estate sale once , they were in a zip lock bag for $2.00 so they came home with me to live with all this other stuff I have been showing on my blog since I started this adventure, you know I am enjoying myself I think this is fun don't you?
A couple little purses I have and love.
Thanks for stopping by! :)

Janice, I love the set of dishes. So many of your treasures are beautiful. Remolding my kitchen at this time can't wait to decorate it.

Doesn't it feel good to find a home for something you don't need? By the way, I have that same set of dishes! We use it for dress up tea parties.

ReplyDeleteThose dishes are wonderful-I would have taken them. I still wash my dishes by hand-we don't have a dishwasher-unless you count me! Love the bowl with the lady face in it!
