Paint or No Paint ?

I have had this sweet curly legged foot stool for some time and have taken it from room to room.
I now want to recover the black velvet top and paint the curly Queen Anne frenchie legs white !!? It's a metal frame and very sturdy.I have been thinking about selling it at the next big indoor sale at the Holiday Inn next February yes next February they just have it once a year and I have set up there last 3 years and always done very well in the 4 hours we sell. I have a piece of toile material I think I will use not today however I will show it when finished . Don't hold your breath LOL

I had it outside this morning using it for a prop to take pictures of a few little items I am listing in my etsy shop. Also etsy has changed and I don't like hunting for features guess I get use to things one way and like it that way.!

Well I must get on with my morning.I need to get my house in order I am having cataract surgery on one eye in the morning and don't want my friend to find my house in a mess that it usually is LOL I just don't put things away like I use to.

Ps Glad you all liked my new horse

Linky parties I like

  1. Good Afternoon Janice, Firstly, I will be thinking of you tomorrow when you have your surgery to remove a cataract. Just rememeber, try not to do too much afterwards, give yourself time to fully recover.
I love your little stool and I just know it will look fabulous using the toile material you have chosen.... I do love toile.
Your geraniums and petunias look beautiful beside the stool, they are so vibrant.
    Best Wishes to you.

  3. I just sold a similar metal base stool. Mine wasn't as ornate. I'm sure it'll look fantastic painted. Sending prayers for your surgery.

  13. Paint and cover. I did one recently. I used gray paint and red and white chevron for the cushion. I was happy with it. A stool you can change to anything at any time. Fun to play with.
