This bride doesn't look very happy however.
Here I am with a friend talking about the unhappy bride ? What do you think they were talking about ? I think it's just amazing how any person can just set down and draw something such as these drawings. I can only draw a straight line with a ruler
Love the hair doo's , reminds me of my beehive hair do in the early 1960's ? don't you think so also? well I need to get ready for work so must get going
Also while I was doing laundry I set at my creating table in my studio and made a few little Christmas creations I'll show you later after the glue all drys. Nothing great just plain fun.
Dear Janice: I love these drawings you have shared. I always wished - like everyone else too - that I could draw! I guess our brains aren't all wired the same way and that wire was left out of mine!ReplyDelete
About six months ago I did up my really long hair in what I attempted at a Gibson Girl hair style - it was so pretty and fun.ReplyDelete
Many ladies saved their hair and made puffy balls of hair and stuck them inside to give that extra lift.
Neat drawings. Thanks for sharing.
I really enjoyed these drawings, I think maybe the bride is thinking "am I ready for this"?ReplyDelete
I have always loved the Gibson girls. They are beauties. I am just glad I did not have to wear all those heavy clothes, aren't you? Blessings for a great day, xoxo, SusieReplyDelete

Hope you ha e a great day
Those are amazing drawings, Janice. I love that you bought this book and still treasure it. The bride does NOT look happy at all, does she? Her poor old dad looks bent by age or worry.ReplyDelete
Have a great Wednesday- xo Diana
I loved seeing these drawings. Of course I have heard of the Gibson Girls but I don't think I ever saw them. Thanks for sharing!ReplyDelete
Maybe they are the 'couple' and she married for money and knows she's in for a rocky road.....just a crazy thought! Love your post(s).ReplyDelete
The drawings are wonderful Janice. That book is a real treasure!ReplyDelete
Those drawings are neat and I love things from other eras. You're right --that bride does NOT LOOK HAPPY and her father looks stressed. Maybe it was an arranged marriage?ReplyDelete
The Gibson Girls are wonderful! So much expression in these drawings! What a great find! x KReplyDelete
So funny....I used the lady's room in a small local restaurant in Saginaw Mi...and the wallpaper was Gibson Girls all in black and white with red lips....heads only. I should have taken a picture....thought you'd enjoy!ReplyDelete
Such a fabulous book! I also find the drawings amazing. Thanks for sharing........ReplyDelete
Love the Gibson girls. Wish we all looked as lovely as they did.ReplyDelete
I love their beautiful hair too...it must have taken so much time to get it to look like that. And the poor bride...! Hugs!ReplyDelete
