Nothing much from my house I just can't sell my vintage items for 50 cents or a dollar. I do much better at the winter Inside Garage sale at a convention center here in town, which is usually early February or March.
As I was looking in cabinets to clean out a few extra pots and pans I spotted my jadeite nesting bowls bowls which I just can't let go of, yet.
I have had these for several years and still like them. and use them once in a while.
This is a shelf just stuffed with odds and ends
I always like this little bowl with name Rosemary on it since that is my Mom's name. It was a set of little herb bowls . As they say Have a Good Day and enjoy this cooler weather here in Missouri
I always think of Rosemary at Villabarnes also when I see this little bowl
How do you spell jadite or jadeite ?

Beautiful jadeite swirl nesting bowls! Smart to keep those, as prices are still high for jadeite (one of my favoorite collections). My Panoply sisters & I are preparing for a community yard sale at the end of Sept. We always purge vintage items, and usually do pretty well, avoiding the 50¢ items altogether. Love the sentimentality of your Rosemary cup. Have a nice day.

Lucky you for having such a beautiful set of Jadeite swirl bowls. I'm lucky to have 3 of the bowls... just missing the smallest one. Good luck with your sale. We're also enjoying cooler temps down here in Mississippi. Yay!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't ever want to get rid of those gorgeous Jadeite bowls. Beautiful!

That sure is a beautiful bowl set! I wish we had a big indoor garage sale here...a great way to sell!
ReplyDeleteI love jadeite! I've just started to become somewhat obsessed with it, but really haven't seen much around in my travels. That's probably for the best because I'd by it all!

I always enjoy seeing your pretty things!
ReplyDeleteOh, I would not be able to let go of those jadite bowls EVER!!
ReplyDeleteWhenever I see Jadite, I remember how we sold some of our coffee cups for five cents each...yes, jadite. Live and learn!

Well, everyone is lusting over your Jadeite bowls, including me. I love the community garage sale idea, too, inside. Wonder if we could do that here!

Love the color! Beautiful collection!...Christine
ReplyDeleteI love Jadeite. My mom had some in the 60's and I wonder what happened with them. Maybe she gave them away in NY. Your collection is gorgeous!

I love your Jadeite nesting bowls! I just love Jadeite and have some pieces. Don't you sell those! :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
You should definitely hold on to those pretty Jadeite bowls.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
Those are keepers, I think you would regret getting rid of them.
ReplyDeleteGarage sales aren't the place to sell vintage or antique pieces...everyone (including myself) expects to get something great for very little money. I stopped having garage sales years ago...:)
ReplyDeleteAnd, I, too, would hold on to the nesting bowls..
Hi Janice,
ReplyDeleteI do not have jadeite, but love the beautiful color. My husband would disown me if I began a new collection! This is my first visit and I am looking forward to reading about your transferware (which I do collect) and the old Staffordshire which has been on my "to get" list for quite some time. I am also a new follower!
Blessings from Lynda at Still Woods Farmhouse

It is hot on the other side of the state! I have my jadeite I collected in the 90's. I realized I have one swirl nesting bowl and keep thinking I should get the rest as a set like I do my Pyrex. Just don't like the prices now! Hope the sale was successful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bowl set! I enjoy seeing your things. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI did finally let go of my jadite bowls, but I still miss them. I know just how you feel. We are planning a sale in October. I am already dreading it. lol
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday, Janice. This post is being featured on my Pink Saturday post this week as "the one with the most clicks". Thanks for sharing.♥
Love the jadeite bowls! I have some bowls and a whole set of various set of dishes I collected when I was in college and the prices were much cheaper. :) Hope your yard sale goes well! I scrolled on down, and I adore your lovely flow blue pitcher! Great piece! ... thanks for popping into see me, and the sweet comment left on my Holy Cow Table! Hope you'll come again! ~Rhonda
