Money Compact

Are any of you gals old enough to remember these?

I was looking through a little cabinet I have setting on my kitchen bar and had forget this was in it.

It has its section for half dollars, quarters , dimes, nickels. I can remember as a child if I had change to put in this I was so happy and felt so girly girly to carry it in my little purse.

This is in my little treasure cabinet aslo, Rhinestone stuff which I have loved all my life

  2. I DO remember the money compacts. I don't think I ever owned them but remember seeing them. Remember when... you had to put in a nickel to use a public restroom??

  5. I still have my money compact from the 50's or was it 60's. I think it looks just like yours. It was fun to be able to fill it with something. Love your clear rhinestone jewelry too.

  6. Have never heard of these before. I have heard women say they used to use sixpences to hold their stockings up and that way they always had two shillings for emergencies.

  8. We love so many of the same things! I don't remember seeing the cute compact but my Dad carried his 'folded money' in a money clip. And I LOVE old jewelry and have a bit of a collection, too. Wish we lived close to each other....we would have such fun! Sweet hugs, Diane
