Hi ya all well I am just so excited about having my little comment & name in the August 2011 issue of Victorian Homes.
I had wrote the editor of Victorian Homes and commented on Richard's My Old Historic Home's article that was published in the June 2011 Issue. I am sure if you read his blog you seen the tour of his house through the magazine.
Also my friend Christine In Oregon look where all she has been publshed.
well anyway back to what I was going to say I wrote Hillary Black, hblack@beckett.com
the editor and told her how much I was in awe of his fabulous gorgeous house and wanted more. So on page 6 in the August 2011 issue another article about his house and his excellent epergnes collection.
Also my little paragraph of what I said , I had never seen my name in any magazine and I have through out the years of have subscriptions to several magazines never been "published" I just think it's so funny because I read and sure you do also several fabulous blogs where ladies show & list where they have been published.
I often write in and give sweet comments . I have wrote prominent people before like President Obama's Grandmother, when was very ill, I just said hoped she recovered from her illness I sent her a get well card and I received a very sweet card and note back from his sister in Hawaii and I have wrote other's like David Bloom's wife , He was an NBC anchor who went to dessert storm and died of blood clots while there. His wife wrote me a letter I still have these (of Course).
OK i have tooted my horn enough so will get on with what I bought at an estate sale yesterday I just had to go, LOL

I have always admired painted furniture and always thought the Hitchcock chairs are beautiful. I found this chair at the estate sale yesterday and very very reasonable priced so here it is in my room with my black chest in my entry way.
This little white chair is same style and I bought a round table and 4 chairs at a yard sale where the people was using the set for the back porch and I was wanting white in my kitchen so , still using it until I find another set I think I just have to have or until this shabby chic phase is over?
I have mixed pieces of furniture in my house , when first married I thought wanted all cherry furniture so had it through out my entire house and have eliminated several pieces and have different style in each room guess you could say. Years ago(back in the day) people had all cherry or Oak or pine through out there house. Thank God it's a new day and we can mix and match LOL
I also stopped at a yard sale Friday morning and found this beautiful lady she is in a very large like poster on heavy paper and I thought I have an old frame I could put her in but she may go to the flea market July 2nd ? I didn't buy her to sell just stopped to think I am trying to quit putting so much in my studio etc
I found this card holder at a resale shop for 50 cents
I decided to rearrange the top of one of my cabinets in the kitchen
before
still love my button flowers and my spools
after I covered up my flat screen TV so it would look so modern LOL
I tried this first
However I ended up with these things on my old white shabby chic dish cabinet
there is one more picture I wanted to share , in the mirror you Can see my red tranferware dishes in my plate rack, click on the picture to make it larger
