New Friends In Portland Oregon

Well as I set here waiting for my shuttle bus home from Kansas City airport and while I watch the snow and a little sleet thought I might as well try out my new lap top and do a post. So Starbucks and me are friends for a while ( 3 hours)

I had such a great trip met new people and went new places!! I told you Madison Park antiques was great at the show and Randy was just as nice as you could ask for. It was like we were best friends and never met I like people like that. I spent all my fun money at his shop in Sellwood area of Portland Oregon.

I went to Stars also and found a set of bowls I wanted however it is so hard to carry dishes on the plane I passed on them. They were the pretty pink pyrex nesting bowls.
At a dinner party Saturday evening and old great friend said remember when you came out here and you was into granitware and took a granitware  stove home on the plane???? that was a good laugh

This was at STARS mall I bought that clock with the rhinestone face

Ollie from a blog I read Faded Prairie

Peter Cotton Tail

Pitch forks in a bucket?  looked farm like to me. I am going to need one of those this spring when I dig up a small vegetable and herb garden

I really wanted this mold my grandparents last name was Baker and we used bakers chocolate to bake with when I was a child

This is the famous world renowned Christine Le Fever who makes fabulous period dolls check out her blog and web page . It was so nice to get a tour of her 1800 3 story house in Oregon City. Loved it all and we even got to go in her studio I tell you she needs to be in Where women Create. Before we left Greg her husband came home and we got to meet him also he was as warm and charming  as her . Also that is where Sammy lives . She just did a post about where Sammy her cat came from

Look at the great dolls on her shelf
The create place of an artist. she is such a fun person

Her work table she had old lace hanging on a bamboo sticks across a triple window in her studio. I forgot to get a picture of that loved the look

Like I said it was a great trip and I have so many ideas in my head of things I want to create when I get home

I seen this in Portland at a TJ Maxx and loved it couldn't bring it or the bowls home and really it doesn't go with anything in my house, but I could make it go right?

Bowls I wanted gorgeous pink Pyrex nesting bowls

I also want to mention Chery Day from Savannah Georgia  is in the magazine Where Women Cook this new issue that just came out. I met her when I was In Savannah Georgia and she is another star just born , I think she will be on the Food Network someday with her baking and then her husband Griff is the bread maker from scratch of course.

I had a good trip and made it safety home and Sissy was so glad to see me.  A bridal shop is closing here in town and I must make it down there today to check out the final sales. I love the prom formals anyway I would like to have an old one to cut up for the material however any old one I find is just to pretty for that.

I think it would be fun for us ladies to wear our pretty dresses to a tea party at my house. I have tiaras we can wear and have a party

Flying over North Dakota I think ? little snow  on the way home . I took this picture after I read the entire Where Women Cook and the articles in Vogue about Lady Ga Ga . I just love seeing what kind of an outfit she will come up with next.

Also while in Portland we checked out  IKEA. This looks like a 1960's light for sure

I liked this could hang it in my bathroom  after I added a rhinestone pin  to her hat and some old lace for a collar

These were a few surprise lilies coming up in my back yard before I left on my trip I  need to go outside when I get home from work today and see if they are frozen or what?

Please go over to Vintage Thingie   Thursday and see The Colorado Lady's kitchen gadget

I also singed on to My Romantic Home show and tell for Friday

This lady has a trip to Paris over at French Cupboard
