This is a card I embellished years ago. I think this is the first card I ever altered . I had gone to an estate sale and bought a big box of small plastic do dads like this green hat and airplane.
Love this sweet little girl,I added her a crown and the Blessed Mother charm
My shelf I bought at a yard sale once added the bottle brush tree and jar of beads ,rhinestone clothes pins
My little Nicol Sayre doll sitting on a bird nest,I think I'l add glitter to her nest ,she is holding a little glitter bird. behind her is a few Byers Carolers dolls and a tall Santos doll
I forgot to add in my newest Nicol Sayre doll that I bought in Lexington Missouri at a shop having a closing sale 50% off everything
Believe me I have plenty to do and love all my treasures just need you to tell me to get it done LOL
A look across the table I create on ,this was taken through a mirror across the room
Linky parties I joined in
Hi Janice, you do such a great job embellishing all that wonderful old stuff! Love it!
ReplyDeleteOh I forgot to say that I liked the German figures, are they Dresden? Such a cute piece!
ReplyDeleteYour figurines remind me of something I used to see in my grandmother's curio cabinet. What great find for you!
ReplyDeleteJane
You have such pretty things! And I love getting a peek! Behind the sayre doll-- is that a little blue print dress?--- very pretty
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post filled with so much eye candy!! Love your German ladies!! So many pretty things!! Thanks so much for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Debbie
Your little lady is beautiful! I don't ever mind a blemish or crack if it is something I really like. Now I understand the not doing anything, it is a January thing I think. I sat all day yesterday doing genealogy work.
ReplyDeleteThere is so much personality in your studio . . . I love it. I enjoy creative spaces where you can sit and look around for hours and still not see everything. Sterile and Art Studio just don't cut it in my book. Your place oozes charm and whimsy . . . Perfection!
ReplyDeleteLovely little ladies and sweet embellishments. Love seeing your creative space, too! xx Karen
ReplyDeleteDear Janice:
ReplyDeleteThis is your "Feeling Inspired "Room and what a great place. Are you like me? The hardest thing is getting started and when I finally do - I get on a roll and don't want to quit. I love seeing your Nicole Sayre doll! So glad she is living at your house!
I love the way you embellish the antique photos... very cute!
ReplyDeleteOh my! Such a lot of beauty there. I love the touches on the cabinet cards.
ReplyDeleteI have never been to Medjugorje, but am fortunate to have a medal of the Blessed Virgin brought back for me by a good friend. How wonderful that you were able to go there!
ReplyDeleteI love looking at your photos. I have a few Byers carolers and remember a lady statue with stiff lace trim like yours that my grandmother owned.
I wouldn't be surprised if the soul who carefully collected and saved your green "do dads" knows that they are safe with you, enjoyed instead of being thrown out!
Oh Janice you have so many beautiful things that would make me happy as well! I love your collection of dolls. I saw some in CA I wanted like them, but could not bring myself to pay the price. How lucky to find a store with 50 off. Love your work studio. My work desk needs a good dejunking since Christmas. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
I know what you mean about the sun and needing light for inspiration! I just love those figurines. So precious! Thank you for linking up with "Let's Talk Vintage!"
ReplyDeleteLots of prettiness and eye candy, Janice...I love it!
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful collection of dolls and other vintage items. Yes, I think it is hard to get motivated in drear, dark weather. I hope you are having a beautiful weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great space and eye candy to do your work. I know what you mean about not in the mood to be creative. What I do I do not like . I need something to get me going.
ReplyDeleteLets hope we get with it.
HPS Laura
You have such a nice collection...so pretty
ReplyDeleteOh, my Dearest, how you bless my heart with all the antiques you collect, you truly make my day everytime I come and meet you here, thank you !
ReplyDeleteWishing you the best of weekends,

XO Dany
I love everything!
ReplyDeleteYou have so many fun things in your studio, Janice! Thank you for sharing @Vintage Charm--pinned!
ReplyDeleteOMG....what a wonderful looking studio you have!! What fun! I know what you mean about lacking enthusiasm. I have 2 sales coming up in March and I've not started getting ready. Today.....is the day it begins!
ReplyDeleteYou must have found those buys at Mo River Antique Co in Lex. I was one of the original vendors in it when it opened years ago. It was a wonderful place to shop.
HPS!! Dana
What great cards! I used to do some altering back in my scrapbooking days and I miss it...I especially love the little girl with the rhinestone crown and Miraculous medal. Also love that chandelier! xo Kathleen

ReplyDeleteJanice, you inspire me. And, I know what you mean. I am full of great ideas, but I just can't seem to get off the block. Personally, I just can't seem to get past so many other things I have going on that seem to take up all my energy.
