I'm almost out the door to go get some flowers and Birthday balloons for my friend who is 101 today! Can you believe 101 and still going good? We usually go out for lunch on Monday's and go shopping for whatever he needs or wants .
As I walked by my teapot lamp I decided to show it off again. Also my calico teapot that matches my set of dishes I bought in the 1980's made in England Staffordshire
My pretty calico teapot , my grandson and I have used this having our tea parties, yes grandsons because their is no granddaughters in this family haha we have used kool aid ,juice and crystal light in it. They loved it, guess I should have shown my little demi cups we used that matches the teapot
Well I have got to get going, I need to go to a florist to get a pretty pot of hydrangeas and then stop at the dollar tree and get birthday balloons. We are going to La Margarita mexican restaurant because Norman likes to speak spanish to the waitress, to keep his spanish fresh
Thanks for all my nice comments on my decorated abalone shells I dolled up with rhinestones and pearls
Linky parties I am joining
Dear Janice:
ReplyDeleteThat is one darling lamp. The calico teapot is really terrific! Love it all!
Happy Birthday to your precious friend! She will need a big sheet cake for that many candles! How wonderful! And what a pretty lamp! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteI love your teapots!! My grandson (the only boy in our set of quads) LOVES our tea parties, too!! This week I have a special treat for them - sugar cubes!! Normally I sweeten the tea in the pot but this week they will learn to stir in the sugar cubes and watch them dissolve! My husband will be 80 this year and he insists he will live to be 100 or more!! I do hope so!!
ReplyDeleteLove the blue/white on the teapots. 101 years of age is quite a milestone!
ReplyDeleteLove the teapot lamp and Blue Calico teapot! I saw a teapot similar to the Blue Calico at the thrift store a few months ago and now I wish that I had brought it home with me.
ReplyDeleteLove the tea pot lamp and the tea pot. I bet Norman was really glad to show off his younger and pretty companion today on his big birthday. Did you wear your white denim jacket with the sparkles?
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute lamp, Janice! I love the Calico teapot too. I have one Calico Red teacup. Red or blue, love the charming pattern. I will be having my first tea party with my little granddaughter when she comes home next month. Hope the birthday guy has a wonderful birthday! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Happy Birthday to your friend! A great age!
ReplyDeleteOh I have so been looking for that teapot---finally settled for a white/with blue line quilting--and a brass handle. I can't wait until it arrives. Love the lamp---I sold several teapot and pitcher lamps in my store way back when, and they were always adorable. Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI so love both of them, they truly won my heart, darling Janice !
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Birthday to your friend, 101 years is such a good goal, and happy week to you, sweet friend, may your days to come be filled with joy
Dany
Hi Janice, your tea pot lamp is lovely. I love them both. What a blessing to have such a friend, enjoy each other company.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marlene
Hi Janice, just getting caught up on blogging. You taught me something today, I did not know that is what you call that pattern, I see them all the time at our sales. How do I know if they are the older ones though?
