Got some New jugs

LOL got ya I bet you thought I had some new improved body parts. No Just a few  gallon jugs from an auction. These were given to a friend who knew the family of the auction and no one bid on the jugs and jars so she took them and gave me some.

I read on Chippy Shabby where she had gone to a bottle show . Guess bottles and jugs are still in the running for vintage collectibles  .
I really like the colored bottles . I got one green one and lots of clear ones. I think I will try to cover one jug with burlap. I always have these ideas and feel like I never  show them finished

Turned it upside down in my lady planter
These brown jars looks good with the sun shinning through
These are mostly old peanut butter jars some of them say so on the lids. I am thinking as old as 1970's?  We could use these to make memory jars you know put some old lace a piece of rhinestone jewelry in it an old paris post card a wooden spool of  thread  a pin cushion etc
 Old Folgers coffee  jars
This old whiskey bottle says established 1780 I know it's not that old however these were in an old basement about 12x12 and one wall was completely jugs jars and bottles.
also says Lexington Ky Jas & peppers & co

I have really been wanting to do a real pretty post and just can't come up with a pretty thing to show lately

This is a few things I pulled out to show I always love seeing rhinestones and hope you all do also

This candelabra is something I showed on one of my early post . I had mentioned it's been a year this month since I took the plunge to blog. Love it
I had another yard sale Saturday and cleaned out a lot of material and sewing notions. My son in law said keep it up LOL He thinks I am a hoarder, I am a hoarder of great and beautiful things

These are buttons I got at the auction where the jugs came from. I love old  white & cream buttons

These are a few old linen pieces I got that someone had done some very nice embroidery on , it has a date on the material stamper 1926

I am sure these will go to the flea market with a huge amount of old zick rack and thread. I have lots for myself . The next flea market  set up at Artichoke Annies's is September the 24th 2011 I-70 Millersburg exit Columbia Mo

  4. Wow! So you got those for free? I love them AND the title of your post. I did a post a few months ago about covering a bottle similar to the big ones you got in burlap. It was pretty easy. I will send you the link if you want me to. I saw your post over at Boogie board Cottage.
