Well I do believe spring has finally came to central Missouri and the birds are happy and so am I.
I still throw out sunflower seeds for my birds year around, just feed them more in the winter then always have water for them
Anyway I bought this embossed cardboard picture frame with birds on it at a shop in Chesterfield Antique Mall at their warehouse sale and I loved it soon as I seen it. Not perfect for you people who want only perfect items LOL See the top left corner.
The colors are good and look at the birds ! it's about a 8 x 10 inch frame. I tried different pictures and different ephemera papers and nothing looked good.
So I started going through drawers of papers I have and seen this music paper and thought, YES the birds are singing, so used this.
I have been outside a lot today, raking my yard dragging out flower pots from my garden shed and painting an item and haven't completed one project . I have just gone from one thing to another. This is what I usually do I get so excited when I get an idea about something.
A friend said this frame is from around 1910
I have enough energy to get back outside and fill a bag of leaves where I cleaned out my peonies bed. They are coming up beautifully. I'm sure your flowers are also ? Hope you are busy also.

ReplyDeleteI really like this cute frame. I am thinking of cutting up some greeting cards and maybe making a frame like this. What a fun idea you have given me. Hope you are doing well and enjoying nicer days now. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
ReplyDeleteI think putting music sheet in the frame was a great idea.
ReplyDeleteWe had two nice days and not cold but no sun and not warm enough to want to hang outside

The frame is fabulous and I’d say a real find.... The musical addition is perfect .Oh, how charming it looks... The smow is just now melting but it will be quite awhile before we start raking leaves ... Can't wait ...Wishing you a Blessed Easter.
