Hey ya 'all Paula Deen came to town, Columbia Missouri and I had to go out after work to Barnes and Noble bookstore and stand in line almost 2 hours to get up to her
She was signing a picture of me in front of her 1st Lady and Sons restaurant in Savannah Georgia back in 1998 when I first met her, not even knowing who she was. Really she wasn't popular yet.
Paula is promoting her newest cookbook. It was a fun event
Love Paula Deen's cooking - how fun to get to meet her in person! Love the cute photos! I'll be looking for her new cookbook :)xx Karen

ReplyDeletejust love it when celebrities are nice and normal.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture of the two of you! Love seeing you in front of the old place. Must have been fun!
ReplyDeleteOh how NEAT!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have been to Lady and Sons restaurant in Savannah - love Paula, love her recipes - what a nifty thing to have posed a pic with her.
Lucky you - and love that single pic of your pretty self! ♥
What a great picture. You both look good!! I have always loved her cookbooks and she has looked the same for years (although I do think she is thinner now). I'm glad you were able to get a picture with her. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHow fun!! We were just in Savannah although didn't go into the restaurant, just gift shop. She looks fantastic and I think you guys look like sisters!!
ReplyDeleteYay!! I'm so glad you got to do this! We stopped in to see her when she was in our Barnes and Noble, I think it was this past spring? here in charleston. One thing about Paula--she doesn't rush you through, and visits with each and every person who comes to see her, and will sign all you bring her--and genuinely seems glad to see everyone.
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to meet Paula Dean at the book store and sign your book. That must of been fun after waiting so long to meet her!
ReplyDeleteCute, cute picture! I ate in Lady and Sons sometime in the early 2000s. She wasn't famous yet and there was no line. I asked a woman in one of the stores where I could find a good Southern meal and I walked over and got seated. Pretty amazing!
ReplyDeleteOH I just love her; she seems so incredibly sweet. What fun to meet her twice!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your stop to my post on the Navajo Code Talkers. I love Paula Dean and how cool you got to have your pic with her, plus it is a great picture.
