This gave me enough red and white dinner plates to fill my wall hanging plate rack also.
A table shot I added the cups and saucers from another set
I am thrilled with them, they had a very yellow tint to the white rims and I soaked them in soapy bleach water and that took lots of the yellow color off the white rims? Wonder why they were so yellow? Some plates still look yellowish to me

ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! What a lucky find!
ReplyDeleteJanice, wonderful bargain and beautiful set! Not sure, but maybe the yellowing came from having been in a smoker's home somewhere in its past? That kind of thing doesn't bother me, though, as long as I clean them to my own satisfaction like you have. Pretty!

Such a beautiful find! I never have any luck in the thrift stores these days, here in Colorado all the folks from Mexico buy out everything and take it home to sell for 10 times what they paid! At least that is what I hear from women who have family in Mexico! I saw an estate sale today but too close to payday so I did not stop. :-( Always feel sort of sad that someone is selling someone else's things for a little cash. You have made a lovely tablescape here. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. You are very lucky to find this beautiful pattern at such a low price.
ReplyDeleteUnbelievable! Score! They are beautiful and I can't help but think how lucky you are! Enjoy.
