Pink Flamingo

As I was taking pictures for this post I couldn't help but play with my pink divided plates I got a few years ago for a very good price. My daughter has had them since I got them because she fell in love with them and she was collecting pink and turquoise dishes, Pyrex etc and they looked good with her collections. Now she is on to another collection so I get my plates back Yes she's  got her mother's bug of collecting. LOL I got it from my Mom.
Well anyway they came home to Mom's so here they are

They have a picture of a flamingo on the back and name Flamingo
They are a heavy divided plate i'm sure made for a diner back in the 1930
40's? There is a blog I read who has this set of  Rose dishes and in my senior moment I can't think of the name of her blog to mention her. Rose Chintz Cottage ( just found it )
Then of course these adorable dishes with the roses on them look so good with the plates
I have always liked this set and just picked this cup and saucer up recently out shopping at new shops got it for $3
Even my old buttons look good laying on the plates. I had my buttons out to take pictures for Button Floozies blog
So many ways to use them if my plate rack on the wall wasn't full I would put them up there
I am always looking for these paisley dishes and only have a few dessert pates

Thanks for looking at my stuff

  1. The pink flamingo plates look so pretty being mixed and matched with different china; also setting on the plate rack. Glad you got them back and you can play with them again.

  4. What a fun story about your daughter going on to something else. I hope you tell Sandi that you mentioned her today too! That was cute! Love it all. We are currently trying to get the legs off my kitchen table - they are paint stuck but we both agree - they have to come off to be safe. Work - work - work. My husband just told me the people moving in next door are coming from Missouri - how funny! Have a nice week Janice!

  5. Hi Janice,
Oh, love all your pretty pinks! Your Flamingo plates are so perfect for so many things; a scone and a dollop of lemon curd or jam, with Devonshire cream. Veggies and dip, etc: Very fun! Of course I love the Rose Chintz. My heart always goes pitter pat whenever I see them. Your paisley dishes are gorgeous too! You have a lovely collection and so glad you shared with us and thank you for the shout out too. Have a lovely day.

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  7. I really love the flamingo plates...very retro looking! I think I might have something very similar to your floral plates. They shout "Spring!", don't they?

We're having some much needed sun so I am thinking sunny thoughts today! Thanks for your visit! :)

  10. Hi Janice, Pretty photos and staging! I really like the paisley plate, don't think I've ever seen that pattern before. And I'm totally loving your mother of pearl silverware, what kind of fork is that?

  11. Wouldn't you have loved to eat on these plates at an old fashioned diner? :) They are so pretty and the others you shared look fabulous with them! I have an "addiction" to dishes and stemware but no space now. That does save me $$$ though! :)

  17. Those pink flamingo plates are fabulous. I don't do pink, but I would find a way to decorate around them.

  27. My favorite photo is the one with the buttons! So charming! But each one is beautiful! I had a platter in the same pattern as your cup and saucer and I enjoyed it for many years eventually passing it on to my daughter.
