Jadeite Nesting Bowls

Morning ladies and gentlemen. The weather here is so nice now and I am pricing a few things for my yard sale next Monday. Yes on a Monday my neighbor and I are both home Monday and we are going for it. We have a lot of traffic on our street and we just set things out and cars stop. I will list it on Craigs list also

Nothing much from my house I just can't sell my vintage items for 50 cents or a dollar. I do much better at the winter Inside Garage sale at a convention center here in town, which is usually early February or March.

As I was looking in cabinets to clean out a few extra pots and pans I spotted my jadeite nesting bowls bowls which I just can't let go of, yet.

I have had these for several years and still like them. and use them once in a while.
This is a shelf just stuffed with odds and ends

I always like this little bowl with name Rosemary on it since that is my Mom's name. It was a set of little herb bowls . As they say Have a Good Day and enjoy this cooler weather here in Missouri

I always think of Rosemary at Villabarnes also when I see this little bowl

How do you spell jadite or jadeite ?

  1. Beautiful jadeite swirl nesting bowls! Smart to keep those, as prices are still high for jadeite (one of my favoorite collections). My Panoply sisters & I are preparing for a community yard sale at the end of Sept. We always purge vintage items, and usually do pretty well, avoiding the 50¢ items altogether. Love the sentimentality of your Rosemary cup. Have a nice day.

  2. Lucky you for having such a beautiful set of Jadeite swirl bowls. I'm lucky to have 3 of the bowls... just missing the smallest one. Good luck with your sale. We're also enjoying cooler temps down here in Mississippi. Yay!

  5. I love jadeite! I've just started to become somewhat obsessed with it, but really haven't seen much around in my travels. That's probably for the best because I'd by it all!

  11. I love Jadeite. My mom had some in the 60's and I wonder what happened with them. Maybe she gave them away in NY. Your collection is gorgeous!

  15. Garage sales aren't the place to sell vintage or antique pieces...everyone (including myself) expects to get something great for very little money. I stopped having garage sales years ago...:)
And, I, too, would hold on to the nesting bowls..

  16. Hi Janice,
I do not have jadeite, but love the beautiful color. My husband would disown me if I began a new collection! This is my first visit and I am looking forward to reading about your transferware (which I do collect) and the old Staffordshire which has been on my "to get" list for quite some time. I am also a new follower!

  20. It is hot on the other side of the state! I have my jadeite I collected in the 90's. I realized I have one swirl nesting bowl and keep thinking I should get the rest as a set like I do my Pyrex. Just don't like the prices now! Hope the sale was successful!
