We was on our way to Sisters Oregon , also went through Bend Oregon .
However the high light of the trip was driving down this canon road along this river where people go to raft and camp.
This is a stand out in the river where only a certain Indian tribe can stand to catch fish.
It's sacred Indian ground . I loved the picture below driving along the canon. We came from way on top to the bottom where the river was running
The trout fishing is catch and release only . The name of the river is Deschutes River
This is what I had for supper last night, Lobster. After being in the northwest I always want seafood to eat . This is the first time I ever cooked one for myself at home. yummy
Linky parties I joined
What a wonderful trip. I am glad you are home safe and sound...Mt. Hood looks pretty quiet there....I love rivers running at the base of the mountains. xo Diana

ReplyDeleteLove the Sisters are too! Nice pictures!
Thanks for taking me back to Oregon. That is the only way I will be going back. Lots of beauty there. Many, many years ago,I took my grandmother to see her daughter in Eugene. That was an experience as she had never flown and she was on up in years. Then later on my son and his wife lived in Portland. Too much rain and cold for me. They are back in Texas now.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, my hubby was station in Oregon before I met him and he always said I would of loved it. On my bucket list, lol.
ReplyDeleteYou had asked about the avocado pit and no the pit has no green, but just the pit no skin in the tea. try it, it's a beautiful shade of vintage pink.
Blessings.
Never been to Oregon, but would love to go. Beautiful scenes you have shared.

ReplyDeleteIsn't Eastern Oregon beautiful!!! I can and have spent a whole day browsing and shopping in Sisters...it's such a cute little place with unique stores. Arn't those fishing stands something else~~~I've seen them being used upon the Columbia at Cascade Locks and its scary dangerous! Tried to follow you but Google say's "sorry, no can do", it's been like that for a couple of weeks now.
