I wonder what her name is ?Oh it's Glies Addison just found it in pencil on back of her picture. Do you remember the picture I have of Mildred Addison?that i put in the purse frame I guess I got them at same auction or estate sale.
Look at these adorable little boys and the one with his thumb in his pocket and their matching plaid ties.I like their sweet smiles also.
Another thing seems like these tones are all everywhere on blogs decorating with these colors or no color.
You may not be the age to check out Ancestry.com but guess I am since I do LOL
Oh on the back of the little boys pictures it names Guy & Ralph . I have seen pictures like this on family pages on Ancestry.com. I am a real sentimental person are you?

I love old pics and I have real ones from our respective families...maybe someday I will share them, they're so cute to see the cloths, lol!

I love old photographs and have them in my family going back to before the War Between the States. I never understood why some folks don't care about family photographs. I also want to thank you for posting comments on my blog. I don't get many and they really keep me going. I love and appreciate the ones who read my posts and I really get a boost by the comments! ReplyDeleteI'm with you. Love the old photos, can't understand why people discard them. I buy them at flea markets, antique stores, etc. Makes me sad that they aren't with their rightful owners:) I cherish my really old family photos.
ReplyDeleteAw - they are lovely old photos!

I love the old photographs too and I'm always surprised to see them in estate sales and goodwill shops. I'm the same, I'm the sentimental one in my family as well. I just could never buy any of those pictures for some reason. I love their outfits and hair styles. I always look at them but have never bought any. Thanks for sharing. ReplyDeleteI don't know how sentimental I am but genealogy is one of my hobbies and I am the family historian and keeper of the old stuff. Love ancestry.com!
ReplyDeleteChildren sure don't look like that today! They're all too mischievous. :o)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. I love old family photos. One year, our family did the regular "Gift Swap" game (I hate to call it "dirty santa") and I made up a box of old reprinted photos of our family. That was the most fought over and grabbed gift of the day, and everyone who lost out asked for their own set!
ReplyDeleteI am so sentimental when it comes to family photos and would never part with them. Love the sweet faces and smiles and these adorable children.
ReplyDeleteOh Janice, I'm sooo sentimental and love our old family photos. They're part of my life and heart. Even as a child I would ask my Mother to get out the old album and big box of old photos to look at. I would spend hours looking and asking "who is this" & "what were they doing in this picture" or "where was this at". I think it's in a person's blood! I love Genealogy.com and all the info I've found for my family. I wish I could go back further but I've reached a dead end with my great grandmother who we think was a Canadian Indian.
ReplyDeleteMy heart breaks every time I see a box of old photos. Who wouldn't want them? I cant imagine. I look at all of them, usually no names on the back... and wonder.
Blessings & hugs, Edie Marie
I'll bet that first photo IS Giles Addison. Little boys had long hair till a certain age, and the collar, with the knee socks and shoes say 'boy' to me
