PINK Chair

I got my pink chair finished I had to put two coats primer on to cover the green  and then two coats of my pink paint.
I have a door in the studio pink and have all my ribbons hanging on the door.

HOT is the word, however we don't have wild fires like Colorado

                                                     before when it was green

Now pink

I know it would have looked good a two tone , however I am not that good of a painter and I would have had my colors overlapping

with the blue chair in background and then also a white chair that I have already showed on a previous post

This will be a good post for Pink Saturday

Now I need to find one more chair similar to have 4 and I want to paint it a lime color. I have a Martha Stewart Windsor chair to use for 4 chairs around my work table

I thought about a chintz cup & saucer I purchased for  $2.00 at a thrift store in St Louis last time I was there.  So set it up on the chair  for it's debut

I like the rose inside of the cup ,it's  setting on some of the old cotton lace I got last Saturday

It's an English marking

Well it is so hot 101 now that I am not going for my afternoon walk. I will go out and water my flowers a little later this evening then I'm either watching a little TV or going to start on one of the new books I have to read . It is going to be in triple digits  100's all week .
I pray people brings their dogs & cats inside out of this heat or at least gives them fresh water every day.

  1. Love how you've painted the whole chair...it looks great pink!!
We had a buyer come in the shop once, looking for all different kinds of chairs for his client. He ended up painting them all with chalkboard paint, attached them all together to make a unique display for Converse sneakers! So cool!

  13. That is the most beautiful cup and saucer! I love your chair. I am dying to try this on an upholstered piece. Do you have any tips for painting over the upholstery? Do you use fabric medium in the part that covers the fabric?

    1. Hi There and thanks for visiting me

I just used a paint primer on the fabric same as the wood, I used 2 coats, some ladies sand the first coat with very fine sand paper I didn't
Then I put 2 coats of my pink latex paint over the primer
I let it dry between coats

  17. How do you like the painted chair? It looks great but is it comfortable?

  18. Love job and cute color. I presume the upholstered fabric has to be tight of there would be some cracking when sat upon. Would love to try this technique on a wing chair. I suppose the chair could be painted, and the bottom cushion could be upholstered with a complimentary fabric.

Thank you for sharing your creativity at Potpourri Friday!

    1. I used Zinsser Bulls Eye primer, a primer that needs no sanding before using, will cover any surface, drys in one hour

The paint is a Valspar semi gloss , I have read where gals use all kinds of paint for furniture

I think the main thing is the primer

  22. The chair is so pretty. I think of all the fun colored chairs will be such a darling pop around your table. The teacup looks right at home sitting on it with the vintage lace. I hope you get some relief from the heat. We have been in the 90's and having terrible fires here in Ut also. Not quite as bad as Colorado, but I feel so bad for those who have lost their homes. Thanks so much for sharing with Share Your Cup.
    Hugs,
    Jann
