June has always been the wedding month and my Mom got married in June and other family members have wedding anniversaries this month.( I was a young June bride)
Also I have always loved white and lace and it sure is in style now we all love the old vintage lace. I still want a lace top and have to get me one made before summer is over I am going to use one of my old tablecloths and have said that before but really I am getting it made next week!
this is a project I got done this week and forgot to take a before picture. It was a very ugly pine box
I also painted a rack I bought last summer from a shop going out of business and she used it for wrapping paper and I thought I am using it for my white linens. First of all it was a bright red color so painted it white this week and didn't get a before picture I was just thinking get it done wasn't thinking get pictures for my blog
I painted both with a primer first then a good white paint and didn't sand the corners I like them just white.
This is the wall space in the bedroom with my round iron bed that I am hanging my rack in
I never measure with a ruler or tape I just eye ball where I want it and hang it
Click on picture to see better , there is my Raggedy Ann my Mom bought me when I was grown because I said I had always wanted one when I was little
I added a lace tablecloth to the ends
Back to my little desk thing
This is a little picture I decorated once
I have had these little cardboard tea pots for some time now I think I got them at yard sales
I love this lace on an old pillowcase I have a set
I found an etsy shop on Heather Bullard's blog anyway loved these little initial ribbons so ordered some for my cards I like to make. I believe it was on the Flea Market magazine blog
This script material i bought in Atlanta at Country Living Fair last October
It may be a little messy looking but I love it
This is a heavy cotton tablecloth quite large also really this linen is ercu or an ivory color once I put them in my white bedroom and on the white rack
CLick on any piture to make them larger to see better

Wow, love the paint - love the linens hanging on the shelf, I also "eyeball" things when I hang them :) The cabinet with the "tea pots" and lace is gorgeous, love that lace! Thanks for sharing at Rednesday!
ReplyDeleteThe rack is wonderful! Thanks for sharing it with us:)
ReplyDeleteI am guessing you live up North, I live in Orlando now and no one likes to get married in the June heat. When I lived in Minnesota, every weekend in Juneseemed to be booked with weddings, reunions, or BBQ! Oh I love the lace! I am so glad lace and frills are in style, I hope this trend lasts forever!!

This is all so me, love it, Celeste,victoriantailor.com
ReplyDeleteRaggedy Ann looks as though she feels right at home at your place!
ReplyDeleteDAWN TO DUSK
Yellow’s the color I wear at dawn
When dancing dewdrops spangle the lawn.
Red is the color I wear at dusk
When earth and sky are dry as a husk
And nothing stirs—not even a wing
Of bat or swallow or anything!

Janice you cracked me up with "fancy smancy" Lol! I'm so glad you thought my doll furniture wasn't too bad a price.....I got it home and thought..."why the heck did I buy that?".....Cuz I'm a SUCKER for cute!! hahaha! Vanna
ReplyDeleteHi Janice,
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love how white paint will transform almost anything from blah to beautiful! Both pieces look great and I love all of your lace!
Thanks for stopping by my blog....I wanted to answer your question about how I cut the tops off of the spools for the magnets I made. I put the spool in a vice and used a hand saw. The wood is pretty soft and it cut easily. Hope that helps.
Jane
