Iron Bed

I have lots of smalls. You know small stuff and I moved my chippy cabinet around again just to show a few more things I have held onto.I guess for this very reason I didn't know someday I would need all this for my blog pictures.

I have this glass basket setting on an old dresser and have my sterling brush and letter openers and those things they use to button up your shoes with, the basket was my Mom's

This iron bed I bought a few years ago and have always wanted to paint it white . anyway it is so heavy I can't pick up the head or the foot frame because it weighs so much. It is like lifting a I don't know what but I can't lift it because it weighs so much. So it just sets where we put it up at. I had this bedroom painted all white and wanted the bed white the man who painted the room said he just moved it from one side of the room to the other when he painted the room. I was going to take the bed outside, I am not going to do that anymore since I can't maneuver  it by myself.

I have a lot of different lace covers and that pink material on it I wanted to make a cover out of. I seen this material and had a fit over it love the tucks in it.

This is an old wool rug in this bedroom which I love the pink  you can see I wanted this extra bedroom pink and white. I also want to paint this floor white if I can stay home long enough to get it done. I am always on the run looking for more stuff

I have always liked these old porcelain  dishes with pink roses on them I don't have the lid for this sugar bowl but have used it for different things its just pretty

This little ring casket has mother of pearl cuff links in it

I added a few of my little blue & white plates    they go with a small tea set and the cups are in a different cabinet upstairs

Talking about small stuff I heard Mike and Frank on American Pickers talking about smalls. I have lots of smalls
This is an old purse I bought because of the closure and the link handle is bakelite or celluloid you know I don't know the difference   they are both old plastics
I love the opening and I want to cover the black material with some more material because it is sticky? I like to paint everything maybe I should paint it LOL?

PS while driving to work this morning I was admiring a neighbors trash LOL they threw out an 8 drawer low dresser and I seen those cubby holes and had to stop.     Well I don't know what for sure I will do with it but it will make a great display for my yard sale to put stuff in . I can throw all my paper art supplies and things I am cleaning out in the drawers and put a price anything in the drawers $1.00 each ?

You can paint that purse....I painted the material of a chair so I don't see why you can try to paint it. Try it!

  9. The iron bed shows much better the way it is than if you painted it white, especially if you are using white bedding or light colored bedding. It's just lovely.

  10. The bed is beautiful. I can see it would look great in white but it's also beautiful just as it is.

I love smalls too. I display a lot in printers' drawers.

(I don't know about today, but 'smalls' used to mean underwear, particularly knickers, so I had a little giggle as I read your post today!) xx

THAT BED IS STUNNING...I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE LIKE THAT BEFORE...DO YOU KNOW HOW OLD IT IS???? I JUST KEEP GOING BACK FOR ANOTHER LOOK. IT IS ENCHANTING. YOUR ROOM WILL BE STUNNING IN THOSE COLORS. I LOVE THE LIGHT STREAMING THROUGH THE CURTAINS. I JUST BECAME YOUR NEWEST FOLLOWER. I LOVE YOUR BLOG. IT IS AWESOME
MAY I SUGGEST SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT ON YOUR PURSE....FIND SOME GREEN VELVET AND CUTLOTS OF LEAVES AND COVER YOUR PURSE AND EITHER MAKE SHADES OF PINK ROSES OR LOOK FOR VINTAGE MILLINERY FLOWERS AND THEN LOOK FOR A CRYSTAL BUTTERFLY AND PIN IT ON...IT WOULD BE GORGEOUS AND LOOK PRETTY IN THE PINK AND WHITE BEDROOM...I CAN JUST SEE IT MADE
    HAVE A SUGAR SWEET DAY
