Bubble Gum Pink

Well these are not your everyday plates that is for sure. I was not looking for these but ran across them in the basement of a shop in a little town and did she  ever have lots of old dishes? There was maybe 2 bookcases full of old restaurant dishes from back in the day when they had daily diner blue plate specials I know these were diner dishes,  never heard of pink plate specials though LOL. I had never seen anything like them!! I had seen the off white old diner plates like ironstone colors but never Bubble Gum Pink  so of course they had to come to my treasure house and join other new finds of mine

These plates were on the shelf in the shop along with  and cups. I had never seen this pattern they had red  flowers on them. They are really pretty I am finding more things that I have never ran across before and I think I have to have them.

what about that green chippy shelf ?they are sitting on wanted that also

Here they are in my chippy white shabby cabinet

OK now here they are in my  kitchen

The cups sitting on a white ironstone platter

Have you ever seen these before? On the back of the plates  they say Flamingo and there is a pink flamingo bird

There was one glass at another place that I stop at once in a while and I have an old metal  glass carrier so thought I would start with this one glass to fill up the carrier

I don't know why all of a sudden I am back into buying vintage kitchens things I thought I had already passed this faze , so evidently   it just keeps on going.

Another thing that has been catching my eye is Turquoise kitchen items and I thought,  no I'm not going there but these were just to reasonable priced to leave them sitting alone on the shelf at this one shop and there was 30% off. They have the original price sticker on the large canister however not all pieces were there . I thought I can use them to put buttons in or rhinestones in and the shaker I will put glitter in

The plastic is not cracked on any piece but as perfect as they are i just wonder what happened to the other pieces of the set?

The original price was $3.95

Oh one more plate picture

Here is one of my great finds or i think so I got these at an auction and the friend who was with me said don't get those old things what in the world would you do with them? I said I don't know what I'll do with them but have to have them. They are coffee can keys, you use to have to open your coffee cans with these, the keys  was on top of the can and you hooked them in a little metal piece and turned the key all around the can to open it , 1950's thing.  love them and so did the lady who saved these all these years

I have a metal tree up in the studio with these hanging on it and metal cookie cutters I leave it up year round

here is my newest latest pyrex mixing bowl it is a green color sometimes it doesn't show the true color when we post them but this is true to color, i don't know the pattern  name but thats OK

My little child's chalkboard that I use when I set up at flea Markets and my yard sale I put my blog name on it

  4. Oh...your dishes are just great...I love PINK! They really are a nice shade and look beautiful in your pretty cabinet. I don't think I Have ever passed up a dish I didn't like! I really have to try hard not to buy them, I have so little room! The turquoise pieces are fabulous, too. I remember those keys to the coffee cans and they still use something similar for canned hams.

Thanks for coming by. I wish you the best on your trip to Kansas.

    XO,
    Janie
