Found a couple boxes of ironstone

While downstairs sweeping dust and dusting dust I ran across a couple boxes of ironstone platters I had priced for the flea market last year and just couldn't let it go . I feel the same way this year so might as well wash the price tags off of it. I brought it upstairs and set my table pretending I am having company over and we are going to use the old ironstone.

The tall pitcher and the tea pot are newer than the old ironstone. I bought them at a Marshall's store .

See that price tag hanging on the little covered compote well it is coming off.

I just love these large platters. I did use one once for my dinner plate.

I have an old ladle sticking down in the new Marshall pitcher.

Here is some of the markings on the bottom of the ironstone. I also collect pearl handled  silverware. I haven't got any forks. I always find knives so I buy them when they are reasonable priced.

Ok a few buttons then I need to get ready for a wedding reception I am going to this afternoon. It's a cook out bring a salad kind of party. They are cooking the steaks and all you want to drink just bring a salad.  They got married on the beach in Florida In July.

  5. I can see why you were unable to part with such a beautiful table service. That was so sweet ~ "pretend to have company". It is lovely, and the petite crystal candelabra in the previous post is sweet. Have great day ~ xox Alexandra
