I love pretty dishes and if someone shows me what they are collecting or just what they have from their Mom's or someone in the family gave it to them then I fall in love with it and look for my own.
I am looking for a shaker now, it has a sterling top that unscrews then it has a top with holes like for salt or sugar under the first top. My friend got one at an estate sale then I went to a ladies house who was showing me her Grandmother's items and she had one. They are very old and I want one.
I collect sterling salt shakers just because I find them at a good price at sales.I just bought one from an antique shop for $5.00 it's very tiny and the picture isn't as cute as it really is. I seen where a lady had used a shaker just like this and put an old china doll head under the lid anyway it was an altered art necklace loved it.
This is one of a kind I guess someone lost it's partner
These are very light weight hardly weigh anything
No these are the sterling ones that weigh nothing the ones above has glass inside
My little shakers all in a row
I found some more old silverware that have Bakelite handles it's a butterscotch like color and you can see through it I never have seen any more like it to add to the collection
I should have started out by showing my Turkey plates since it's Thanksgiving. They had these at Marshall's a couple years ago after Thanksgiving and I had to have them
I use to always use my Mom's dishes at Thanksgiving but changing up this year. Her set is Jewel Tea autumn leaf. I hope you all get full of turkey and everything else that is good.

Sweet Little Christmas candles + Happy Thanksgiving
I use to have a lot of these little wax candles and sold them at an antique booth I use to have. I still have about 15 or 20. I am bad about selling items then I always want them back. So after a few sold I took these home.
Happy Snowmen
The Children's Choir
The Marching Guys
Sweet Little Angels
All the Little Santa's
This is a little wool sheep, home made I'm sure and it is so soft and sweet
Do you ever have to look and look for something? I was looking through a drawer in my spare bedroom and seen a couple of my beaded bags which love and don't think I have ever carried them any where except church. This first one I bought at TJ Maxx while traveling once. I was headed down to Paducah Kentucky to attend the national quilt show. I just love all the vendors at that show and then the antique shops in Paducah was so great.
This is a vintage bag I got at an estate sale
An elderly Aunt gave me this old Avon key once while I was visiting her
This is what they call a Carryall , because back in the day (1950's) when ladies would go dancing instead of leaving your purse on the table while dancing you just carried it on your wrist.I should have opened it up for you . It has a place for lipstick, powder, coins and has a small comb in it. I have a few more also. You know its heavy and the way I dance I could hit my guy on the head and it would hurt. LOL Of course back then they had romantic dancing not like today, they snuggled up to their man or date.

I forgot to show this picture when I did my post about being in Savannah Georgia anyway this is at the back door of Paula Deen's gift shop I was back there waiting to see if any body of importance like Paula came out LOL She had wrote her name in the wet concrete, Bobby & Jami had their names in it also. It's hard to see . Did I tell you that was the best trip ever?.
Another thing while I am redecorating my studio I am going for pink ( I think ). found this packed away and want to use it somehow altered.
I found this also, I picked it up from a table at an auction that someone left, you would be surprised what all people leave and I stay and till I make sure I have all my things, well you know I can remember once I left a pile of things and was just sick over it especially when it's treasures you really want.
I got this at a yard sale and think it was so cute and matched my rescued basket

Paper Illusions / cleaning Christmas party dishes
Well I purchased this book off amazon because it is cheaper than buying in any book store. Also while I was in Savannah in a french store they had it face price. I just fell in love with the beautiful pictures. After I thought about It I had seen some of these pictures posted on other blogs.
I think when the Marie Antoinette thing was in full swing is when I seen these paper shoes. I bought that Somerset magazine the issue of Marie Antoinette love it still . Can you believe this shoe is made out of paper?
Breath taking paper outfit!
Maybe your local library will have a copy of this it is worth looking at the clothing is just fabulous dear
Now I need to get some dishes out and get to washing them up for my party in a couple weeks. I have been working on my invites list . More silver to clean, but that's OK I like doing it
Here is my punch bowl and cups I really like the cups on their little pedestal.
I am using my green jadeite bowls for dips
Here is one a very cute birthday card I received from my friend Jo , we love our pretty shoes
This is a tin Jo got me last year for my birthday (I think last year) I keep my tea bags in it year round
I like to use linen napkins for my parties and these green and red were my Grandmothers
I got this Santa one year in a Christmas drawing, always liked it
Here is an old mug my sister Becky gave me, I think he is a Christmas reindeer anyway he's in my Christmas decor now.
I will use this for snacks. I think it's a newer plate however it reminds me on majolica and of course I love it also. I use the word love a lot, I am full of Love LOL
This platter was my Grandmothers also I can remember her serving fried pork chops on it when I was a kid. We always had a big bowl of mashed potatoes also .
I think all of these odds and ends will look pretty together. I have more to get out but this was fun getting old dishes out I hadn't seen for a while. I am using these paper place mats also when I seen them just had to order them. I do a lot of impulse buying but most things I do like for a long time.
