Charles Dana Gibson

Years ago I purchased this book at a local book store while shopping for another book. Soon as I flipped through it I knew I wanted it and the gorgeous Gibson Girls drawings in it by Charles Dana Gibson. I bought this back in 1977 and the book was published in 1969.

This is an office girl hard at work before our sweet computers came about. I just love the pencil drawings he captured of life back then, especially the clothing of the Victorian era

This bride doesn't look very happy however.

Here I am with a friend talking about the unhappy bride ? What do you think they were talking about ? I think it's just amazing how any person can just set down and draw something such as these drawings. I can only draw a straight line with a ruler

Love the hair doo's , reminds me of my beehive hair do in the early 1960's ? don't you think so also?    well I need to get ready for work so must get going

Also while I was doing laundry I set at my creating table in my studio and made a few little Christmas creations I'll show you later after the glue all drys. Nothing great just plain fun.

Sweet Saturday

It was so nice to stay home today and play with my blue and white dishes and get some cleaning done also. I also have enjoyed going shopping and visiting family but a gal needs her alone time sometimes?

I really like the pattern on these cups and saucers, I picked them up in a resale shop . I can't resist blue and white china or transferware.

I just love all these books and enjoy looking through them over and over. I took several breaks today and looked through all these books

I'm going to join PINK Saturday

Me and Paula Deen Today

Hey ya 'all Paula Deen came to town, Columbia Missouri and I had to go out after work to Barnes and Noble bookstore  and stand in line almost 2 hours to get up to her

She was signing a picture of me in front of her 1st Lady and Sons restaurant in Savannah Georgia back in 1998 when I first met her, not even knowing who she was. Really she wasn't popular yet.

Paula is promoting her newest cookbook. It was a fun event
