Well the rest of the story is I won gift certificates at McAdam's LTD antique store in town. Last year at the annual Christmas party I won 2 gift certificate and I already used one to buy a friend a present at the store last Christmas.
They have an annual antique tent sale so I picked out this cow and some other items to spend my gift certificate. He looks good on the book shelf with the staffordshire dogs
I love his blue bottom . I thought he looked good with all my other oldies on this shelf
Then I still had money left on the certificate so picked out some little shakers to use for my china garland i am making
Then I got this gorgeous mirror its like a wood and very light weight for a mirror and painted an old cream color , love it. It is so hard for me to take a picture of a mirror and keep me out of the picture? what about you
This sweet little bust type girl reminded me of Vanna" winks" at delusion of grandeur . She loves the lady busts and so do I just don't have one
She has little pockets to put small treasures or is it her lap?
I put her on the shelf with all my other ladies of the past
The I still had enough money left to purchase another cake server I have several but you have to spend your gift certificate money or loose it
Well I need to get someplace fun so will talk later xoxo

Faces in the studio
As I look around the studio at all my pretties I love all the faces I have collected and stuck in cubby holes around the room on shelves
I bought this little set of lamps first because the price was well a steal and they needed me to take them home to join in others that looked like them i am going to try and make them a lace shade
I am really trying to stop this but sometimes you just have to rescue something LOL right? tell me I'm right. First these little lamps are just so sweet, it's the couple thing going on with them so going to show a few more of my couples
I didn't realize I have so many Marie Antoinette couples
These are my newest power puff girls without their puffs, I will try and make them a pretty fluffy shirt
This couple is heavy and not sure if a marking on them
I got all of these mostly in boxes of left over things at auctions
I did buy this lady years ago and can't remember where I got her , she has a colbolt blue mark but I can't read it
here is all the power puff girls together I got one for $6.oo the other $8.00 and I know thats a good price
My old china doll heads they are the ones where they just have old linen for a body, look at those stitches on the left doll
I like this old advertising card it is 3 sisters
Another sisters card
and my little china baby I have taken her to the flea market twice and no body even looked at her ahhhhhhhh so she's staying home for good
this is an occupied japan couple
I love this art nouveau frame just look at the lady looking at the just married couple
My head lady with her wig & oh so pretty hat
I bought a small magnet and it came in this box
My old vintage wedding couple still in love
my latest little china baby isn't she pitiful? I bought her to use on a piece of repurposed jewelry she has already had a bath
I must run i'm late for something

Had A Ball
While I was shopping in a new little shop I found a sign that said yard sale at such and such address , it was way out in the country and I had a ball .
this lady had things all in laundry baskets and out on old wooden tables just about all the old dishes was a quarter . I bought this crate of old wire top jars for $2.00
this old basket was 50 cents at a junk shop
Mom had a gravy boat like this the pictures of meat on it is so fun
I know someone who likes these little odd glasses and they were 10 cents a piece. There is one that says Eastern which is air lines
I love this little lunch box it is missing it's handle but I can use and old black ribbon or piece of an old belt how about some lace?
found this at a yard sale
I have had my eye on one of these for a long time and found this one In a new antique shop in Lexington Mo . I will use it on my card making. It is an old notary stamp
OMG I have always wanted some of these and found these two in a junk shop for $1,00 each !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you read Richard's blog from My old Historic House he has several big ones. Mine is marked staffordshire England
I have them both on my book cases . They are not the quality of old ones however Love them !!!!
I bought these cute little fat Baker men to make another garland, also the Autumn looking ones
This is my second favorite find of this day besides the Staffordshire dogs . I am hanging this on my old garden shed . A wreath made out of barb wire , fresh from the country of Lafayette county Missouri. Aslo from a really old farm. this lady had a summer kitchen it had an old fire place in it . Now how cool is that? There was several out building like barns smoke house sheds . Another thing I liked about this old farm place was the long drive way upto the house, so plantation looking
Well dear friends I have got to get off here , a friend and I are going to Clayton Missouri shopping today and she will be here in 30 minutes !!!!!!!and here I set not ready, and that is not like me I am usually ready an hour before any event.
xoxo

Dad's Gone
I have been gone a few days up toward Kansas City Missouri. My Dad has passed away . My sisters and I set at the nursing home with him. We talked to him even though we knew he couldn't talk back.
We laughed told funny family stories reminiscence about good days and bad days LOL
We played Glen Miller Cd's and some old Elvis and other rock & roll music because him & Mom loved to dance. They use to always go out every New Year's to dances. I sometimes called them and said stay home it's freezing rain and you'll have a wreck. LOL they didn't listen to me ( wonder why)? I have pictures of Mom in her long evening gowns and Dad all dressed up in suit & tie. Mom always had her hair & nails done new dress new shoes and always wore her fur coat that was especially made for her with her initials in it. I have it in one of my closets.
This is their wedding picture ( not very good I need to adjust my camera )
June 1st 1957 Mt Vernon Illinois Wesley Methodist church
13 years ago at a family wedding . Mom died 12 years ago
His funeral is Friday so I'll take a few days away from the blog
